Tina is a seasoned attorney with a background in health policy, administrative law, and the standardization of best practices. Prior to joining Burgeon Legal Group, Tina served as an Assistant Attorney General with the North Carolina Department of Justice. Over her six years with the Department, Tina represented various state agencies, including the Division of Medical Assistance, The Office of the State Treasurer, and various occupational licensing boards. The experience provided her with a proficiency in areas as diverse as Medicaid provider recoupment, government procurement law and procedures, and water conservation in irrigation installations.


  • Tina carries her passion for health law and 'making systems work' through her work with various professional and volunteer organizations and currently serves on the North Carolina Bar Association's Health Law Section Council and is an active member of the North Carolina Medical Society Foundations Towards Accountable Care Consortium("TACC") workgroup.

  • A graduate of UNC School of Law, Tina lives in Chapel Hill.

  • In her free time, Tina loves to travel, cook and read and combines these three passions by collecting cookbooks.
